In-Person Macramé Wall Hanging Workshop
Macramé is the relaxing art of tying knots to create decorative items, with its roots in the Middle East.
In this workshop, you will create your own beautiful Macramé Wall Hanging!
We will learn the three basic knots of macramé, and you’ll walk away with basic knowledge to use in all types of macramé projects.
Topics covered in the workshop include:
– Simple knotting instructions and demonstrations, suitable for beginners
– Tips for a professional finish
No previous macramé experience is necessary, as this design is at a beginner’s level.
We will use 5mm Bobbiny macrame 3-ply rope in 6 color options (shown below), along with a hand sanded wooden dowel, 35 cm in length.
We will be at Wood Culture in Al Quoz, in a light-filled section of their showroom. You will get a chance to check out their fab home furnishings too!
Registration & Payment
295 AED for workshop, all materials and light refreshments
Registration is confirmed upon payment on our Zbooni storefront:
Once you register and pay, I will email you to choose your rope color. There are limited quantities of the macrame rope, so color choices are subject to availability at the time of payment.
Then I will email workshop details the week before as well.
Health and Safety:
We ask that you wear your mask throughout the workshop (except when enjoying any refreshment!).
We will have gloves and extra masks on hand, and there are sinks for hand-washing right next to the workshop area.
Each person attending the workshop solo will have their own clothing rack to work from. If you are joining with a group, we can put two people on a clothing rack.
The tools will be disinfected right before the workshop, and most items will remain with you throughout the workshop to minimize unnecessary sharing.
Ts & Cs:
If you pay for your workshop online, we can offer a refund (minus a small transaction fee) up until 7 days before the workshop. After that time, we are unable to offer a refund for cancellations but will gladly honor a credit of the same amount to be used at a future Turquoise workshop or on a DIY Kit.
I look forward to seeing you and getting creative together!
